1st year – Basic studies
Aromatherapy is a healing approach that uses the essential oils as tools for the treatment of various complaints, as well as for setting the mood. Essential oils are distilled from various parts of healing plants, through natural processes (distillation or steaming).
The initiation into the art of aromatherapy begins with the history of aromatherapy, and the production of essential oils and other aromatic substances. It proceeds with basic principles of chemistry (that testify the healing properties of the essential oils) and the healing applications of essential oils. In this first year, the class includes the external application of essential oils by massage (on acupoints or points of reflexology). There will be occasional mentioning about their use orally.
Our goal is that all students will gain a satisfactory knowledge about the energetics of essential oils and their distillation.
